I am passionate about making handmade greeting cards for good causes.
Since the last 10 years, I have raised funds for women and children's charities and natural disaster funds in India, Indonesia, Japan and Nepal.I am grateful to the international schools (American School of Mumbai and Jakarta Intercultural School and Eton House International in Jakarta) which helped and encouraged my talent by providing her a platform to sell her cards. Not to forget the friends and well wishers who have bought my cards to support my passion.
I was in Indonesia before moving to Singapore in 2014 where I was supporting five Indonesian primary schoolers with their education through the Australia and New Zealand Women's Association in Jakarta. I continue to support two of the five primary schoolers in Jakarta beside raising funds for the Nepal earthquake victims.
I am a big fan of recycled and eco friendly material and often try and make cards with recycled stuff - ofcourse I try and make them look arty!!! In the past, I have had great interest in sewing (no longer as I gave away my sewing machine - miss it so), embroidery, crochet (little bit) and have taken quilling, porcelain flower making, corn dough classes. For the past many years, I have settled in with card making and find it rather relaxing and fulfilling. The encouragement to start blogging came from a very dear friend, Aparna. Through blogging I have met some of the kindest people and talented as well.
